UV Rays
UV or Ultraviolet rays from the sun is the most blamed cause of skin cancer but many more might be at risk without knowing it for it is not the only mechanical trigger that can cause the disease. People who have been working with or regularly work with welding equipment are also at high risk due to the high levels of UV that are emitted by the torch when using it. That is why the OSHA has strict guidelines regarding protection from these artificial UV sources. Tanning booths are also a possible cause of skin cancer and many people who are considered to be at high-risk are recommended to lessen if not totally avoid them. There are many more artificial sources of UV’s especially in industry where they are produced as a by-product of many processes.
