Treatment options

treatments1.jpgIf skin melanomas are detected early, they can indeed be successfully treated and even removed surgically to prevent their spread to the rest of the body. Current treatment techniques involve imiquimod creams, photodynamic therapy, laser surgery and immune response modulators. Most of these skin maladies if detected early can be removed surgically preventing them from spreading to the other parts of the body. Other treatments involve creams and internally taken medicine which attacks the cancer cells preventing them from spreading or advancing to more dangerous forms. Early treatment is the key and regular check-up should be done on any un-normal growths which may manifest on the skin. Certain areas are also harder to treat than others such as in the neck area where there is possibility of spread to underlying tissues of the neck most of which are debilitating once affected.
